The locally well-known GP who was shot and killed by a patient at the Moratalla Health Centre two years ago has been posthumously awarded the Gold Medal for Work.
The Secretary of State for Employment, Mari Luz Rodriguez, announced the award for the late GP, María Euenia Moreno, during a visit to Murcia yesterday. She was accompanied by the Government Delegate, Rafael González Tovar
