The Mayor of Calasparra, Jesús Navarro, and the Head of the local Education Department, Teresa Salinas, held a reception yesterday at the Town Hall for the members of the European Education Programme, COMENIUS, who were visiting the Emilio Pérez Piñero High School.
The visitors included teachers, students and parents from secondary schools in Croatia, Norway, Turkey, Germany and Spain.
According to Antonia Martínez Llorente, Coordinator of the programme, the objective is to improve foreign language skills and promote movement and cooperation between education centres. To this end the visitors will stay for a few days with families in the Calasparra area.
