PRIDE DAY IN CALASPARRA

Calasparra wil celebrate Pride Day, and the history of the LGTBIQ+ movement since the Stonewall disturbances in 1969, with a talk on the origin of Pride and reflections on equality and respect.
Hernando Carlos Gómez Prada, university professor and specialist in diversity and democratic memory, will give the talk «Pride: history, rights and diversity» on Thursday July 2 at the Museo de la Villa at 8pm.
Pride Day, celebrated all over the world in June and July, and recently celebrated in Hungary after years of prohibition, commemorates the disturbances of Stonewall in New York in 1969 when the LGTBIQ+ community faced massive political repression for the first time.
This is in initiative of Calasparra Town Hall as part of their committment to equality, inclusion and the defence of the rights of the LGTBIQ+ community.
