Junior teams from all
over Spain, including Real Madrid and Villareal, will take part in the junior
football tournament, the Calasparra Cup, to be held on June 8.
At an official presentation the Mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez, and the
President of the Real Madrid Fan Club, Francisco Jose Nuñez, confirmed that
some 150 junior footballers would be taking part and that 40 volunteers would
be helping at the tournament.
Organized by the Real Madrid Fan Club, the Town Hall and the Football Federation,
the tournament is considered one of the most important in Spain.
It is completely free of charge for the teams taking part and spectators.
The day begins at 9am at the Caverina football stadium and the teams will be
officially presented at 9.15am. There will be 18 games and the final will take
place at 5.30pm.
The tournament will be televised on Real Madrid TV.
