Calaparra was just one of the local post offices closed yesterday as 80% of CCOO trade union members joined a national day of action against planned closures, lack of investment and the paralization of private services.
Under the proposals some 40,000 of the current workforce of 75,000 could lose their jobs, according to union officials, who also claim salaries have been reduced and “extra payments” supressed.
