A photography competition, with cash prizes, has been organised by local councilor and Head of the Department of Environment, Ricardo Garcia, to promote “good environmental habits for sustainable development.”
The competition coincides with the II Week of the Environment, from May 31 to June 5.
According to Ricardo Garcia the competition aims to demonstrate the value of natural environmental resources and beauty spots in the area, promoting their care and protection.
Photographs must be taken within the municipal area of Calasparra during the last year.
First prize is 300 euros; second, 150 euros, and third, 75 euros. Winners will also receive a plaque and their photos will be on exhibition in the Casa de la Cultura on May 31.
The rules and regulations of the competition will be published on the opening day for submissions, Monday April 23.
