The opposition, PSOE, have defeated the PP ruling party motion to increase the number of ITV stations in the Murcia region by eight “in defence of public sector jobs.”
PSOE, Alfonso Martínez Baños, at the Regional Assembly proposed that a Committee study a proposal which safeguards the public sector, alleging that in three of the four autonomous regions the lowest tariffs for ITV were at centres under public administration.
Also voting against the motion, Andrés Pedreño, Podemos, said the proposal would be a “catastrophe” for workers as labour costs would be reduced and the quality of the service compromised in order to deliver cheaper tariffs.
