There are two organised walks on the Calasparra Step by Step programme for June organised by the Municipal Tourist office and one is a visit to the old town and the castle by night.
Firstly on June 1 there is an opportunity to visit the Paddy Fields of Calasparra and, en route, take in the ruins of the Arab settlement at Villa Vieja and the Rice Musuem.
The walk leaves at 9am from the Plaza de la Corredera and is graded as easy.
The second date on the walking calendar is on June 7 with the Medieval Route around the old town and the castle by night. The walk starts from the Plaza de la Corredera at 9pm and will last approximately two hours.
