The Segura Water Board (la Confederación Hidrográfica del Segura) (CHS) has advised that the swollen caudal of the local rivers are producing extraordinary whirlpools.
Water has been pumped into the rivers from local reservoirs, so they can accommodate more rainfall, has resulted in flooding in many areas.
Now the Water Board is recommending precaution in the areas near river banks and advises against any sporting activities in the water.
