Travellers from the UK may enter Spain freely from Monday, May 24, without a negative PCR test or any other restrictions.
Pedro Sanchez, President of Spain, made the announcement at the FITUR International Tourist Show in Madrid yesterday.
However, travellers returning to the UK after a visit to Spain will have to obey the restrictions imposed (quarantine) by the UK government, until this changes.
To be clear the “only essential travel and residents only” rule for UK citizens entering Spain has been lifted from Monday. No PCR test is required.
Sanchez says: “Spain is delighted to welcome UK tourists who want to visit our country.”
Update:
No PCR necessary but must have been in the UK for 14 days before travelling to Spain.
