As the Municipal Services of Calasparra Town Hall begins the annual fight to control insect infestations in Calasparra, the general public also has a part to play.
The municipal workers have been working to fumigate and control cockroaches in the sewers in all areas of the town as part of the campaign.
However, the Town Hall emphasises the importance of public cooperation as an essentail part of insect control and urges residents not to leave food residues on the streets, to dispose of rubbish on the containers provided between the hours specified and to maintain urban hygiene.
