There will be no shortages of supplies of drinking water or agricultural water this summer according to an announcement by the President of the Water Board of the Segura, Miguel Ángel Ródenas.
The President has sent a message of “tranquility” confirming that “water supplies both for the municipal areas and the farmers were fully guaranteed.”
Currently the reservoirs of the Segura contain 635 cubic hectometres of water and it is forecast that they still have 348 cubic hectometers by the end of the year.
However, he has called for a “responsible water use” to protect future supplies.
