The daily Municipal Minibus Service, which has been a lifeline for residents without transport on the urbanizations of the Tierra del Sol and Cañada Verde as well as for residents in the town to access services such as the Health Centre, is to be cut from June 4.
The announcement was made today as part of a package of “austerity measures” agreed by the Town Hall in order to qualify for the special line of credit from national government to pay off debts to local suppliers and service providers.
The Health Centre may also be subject to cuts. There will be a meeting this week to discuss the possible effects of the austerity package and an announcement will be made later this week.
