The Reina Sofia Hospital in Murcia is the first in the region to report no patients with Covid-19 for the first time since summer 2020.
At the height of the epidemic last June the hospital had 220 in patients with the virus, 42 of which were in intensive care.
During the 24 hours ending at midnight on October 22, 62 new cases of Covid-19 were diagnosed in the region.
Sadly, a 83 year old man died of the virus taking the death toll to 1,749.
