NEXOnr ATTRACTS BBC 2 TO CALASPARRA

When editors of the BBC programme, “Nature´s Weirdest Events” saw coverage in Nexonr about the three pieces of space junk landing in Calasparra, they decided to make a programme about it.
Researchers contacted Nexonr and we made arrangements for them to interview and film at the laboratory in Cartagena where the spheres are currently being held; interview a witness who found one of the spheres; and interview the Mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez.
Calasparra Digital Television were also able to provide footage of the Guardia Civil collecting the second sphere found in the Villa Vieja area.
The BBC crew spent the day fliming in Cartagena and Calasparra last Tuesday.
Some researchers believe the the spheres, which are probably fuel or auxiliary tanks from a rocket, belong to a North Amercia spy satellite launched in 2008.
The Mayor has applied for the three spheres to be returned to Calasparra where they can be exhibited as a tourist attraction.
A spokesperson at the laboratory said he  was prepared to “loan” the spheres to Calasparra but that they would have to be returned should the owners come forward. An event that José Velez told the BBC was “highly unlikely.”
