The Head of the regional Department of Health visited Calaspsrra yesterday, officially opened the new Mother and Baby Unit at the Medical Centre and confirmed the creation of a Working Group to evaluate the possibility of reinforcing the Emergency Service.
The new unit improves the space and distribution of pediatric and womens’ services with a more efficient, patient friendly and speciliazed service in a larger area specially adapted for professionals and service users.
The confirmation of a Working Party to assess the possiblity of expanding emergency services here in Calasparrsa is a response to an ancient demand motivated by the current situatuon which means if the emergency team are called out the emergency unit is left without medical staff to attend any futher emergency.
