The new law which eliminates the need for licences before opening new businesses, such as industrial activities, shops and businesses or services, has come into effect.
The old licencing system has been replaced by the “express licence” and a declaration of responsibility.
The new law also includes changes to the current taxation system on certain inheritances in that there will be a 99% refund of inheritiance tax and donations when the inhertiance is destined to a business venture or where the property is an agricultural exploitation and when the donation of a property is for a business activity or for a professional business.
There will be reductions of fees for patrimonial transmissions and judicial (legal) documents when the property is transferred to a young business person and it will be their fixed home address or business premises.
There will be a reduction of financial contrubutions for day centres for people receiving orphans´ pensions.
The law also creates a Superior Body of Tax Administrators and Technical Aministrators in the region to combat tax frauds.
