The rate of contagion by Covid-19 continues to fall in the Murcia region, the operating theatres in local hospitals are open and specialists are able to see their patients face to face, but the regional Covid-19 Monitoring Committee advises “prudence.”
The Committee met yesterday afternoon and decided to maintain the current measures for another week, even though some areas, including Calasparra, have a lower level of risk.
This means the curfew from 10pm to 6am stays in place.
The regional boundary remains closed.
The interior or bars and restaurants remain at 30% capacity with a maximum of two people from different households sharing a table.
Bar terraces remain at 100% with a maximum of four people, not from the same household, sharing a table.
Eating and drinking at the bar is not allowed.
Calasparra is one of 27 municipal areas currently at “low risk” from the virus along with Aledo, Ulea, Albudeite, Campos del Río, Ojós, Moratalla, Alguazas, Lorquí, Fortuna, Las Torres de Cotillas, La Unión, Pliego, Bullas, Mazarrón, Abanilla, Villanueva del Río Segura, Molina de Segura, Águilas, Murcia, Los Alcázares, Alcantarilla, Cehegín, Jumilla, Cartagena, Santomera and Mula.
Only two of the eight municipalities that were at extreme risk (red areas) last week continue at this level: Caravaca de la Cruz and Puerto Lumbreras. These two areas will maintain the municipal perimeter closed and will not be allowed to open the interior of bars and restaurants.
Abarán, Ceutí, Fuente Álamo, Torre Pacheco, Alhama de Murcia and Ulea, are no .longer classed as “extreme risk” and will open their municipal boundaries. The interior of bars and restaurants will open.
These measures come into effect from Wednesday March 10.
