MUNICIPAL BOUNDARY OPEN FROM WEDNESDAY

Calasparra has passed from “extreme” risk to “very high risk” of the Covid-19 epidemic: the municipal perimeter will open and bar terraces can open to 75% capacity.
People may move from one municipal area to another from Wednesday except areas which remain at “extreme” risk. These are Ulea, Beniel, Yecla, Abarán, Pliego and Cieza.
The other 39 municipal areas in the Murcia region will open their perimeters and bar terraces.
Two people who are not from the same household may sit together at a bar terrace and may meet in public or private.
This signifies that the ban on people who are not from the same household meeting in private or public is lifted but these meetings or reunions are restricted to two people.
The opening of the municipal barriers follows a week where the lowest number of positives was recorded in the region since December 6.
The decision to remove some of the restrictions was taken by the regional Covid-19 Tracking Committee which meets every Monday in Murcia.
Calasparra, and another 38 municipal areas, has been under “extreme alert” for Covid-19 since January 12 and restrictions were imposed on movement and on socializing due to the continuous upward curve in contagions following the Christmas festivities.
The other municipal areas currently on “High alert”, the same as Calasparra therefore with their perimeters open, include San Pedro del Pinatar, Santomera, Librilla, Las Torres de Cotillas, Fortuna, Ceutí, Caravaca de la Cruz, Murcia, Totana, Campos del Río, Lorca, Mula, Jumilla, Blanca, Águilas, Archena and Alcantarilla.
Molina de Segura, Ricote, San Javier, Cartagena, Los Alcázares, Alguazas, Torre Pacheco, Bullas, Puerto Lumbreras, Alhama de Murcia, Mazarrón, Abanilla, La Unión, Albudeite, Cehegín, Fuente Álamo, Moratalla, Aledo and Lorquí are on “Medium high alert” and Villanueva del Río Segura and Ojós are on “Low alert.” Readers may travel to all the areas mentioned above on the same alert risk as Calasparra or lower and bar terrces in these areas will be open under the conditions mentioned above.
The regional perimeter remains closed and the 10pm curfew remains in place.
