Some 4,000
motorcyclists, members of the association, “Everyone Aginst Drugs,” will take
part in 120 kilometer rally on April 7, which will pass through Calasparra.
The rally starts in Murcia and travels around the region, counting on the
support of all the local authorities, including Calasparra, and finishing in Cehegin.
At a special presentation of the event at Calasparra Town Hall the Head of
Fiestas, Antonio José Merino, the Head of Culture and Tourism, Teresa García,
and the President of the Association, Casiano Navarro, joined the Chief of the
Local Police, Miguel Ángel Martínez, and
two members of the local Motorcycle Association, Francisco Risueño Moya and Juanjo Gómez, to announce
that the rally would stop in the Plaza de la Corredera at 1pm.
The 120 kilometre route from Murcia will pass through La Raya and Pueblo del
Soto before stopping at Alcantarilla for breakfast. Then it will pass through
Albudeite, Mula, Calasparra and Caravaca before the final stop in Cehegin to pay
tribute to local motorcyclist and world champion of Supersport 300, Ana
Carrasco.
If you want to take part you can sign on at the workshop of Francisco Risueño
Moya in Calasparra for a fee of 10 euros which includes a T shirt, a flag,
breakfast and paella in Cehegin.
The Association, Everyone Against Drugs, is a European movement of
international tourism with participants in various countries.
