Calasparra is celebrating 22 years twinned with Riorges, France, with various acts and activities with the visiting group of school children, teachers and members of the organisation.
On Saturday there was a special ceremony in the Municipal Auditorium with the Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, and various members of the Twinning Committees making contributions.
During their visit the visitors from Calasparra´s two twinned towns, Riorges and Donzdorf, Germany, spent a “working day” in the Casa de la Cultura, where pupils from the IES Emilio Perez Piñero High School joined them to exchange projects.
No visit to Calasparra can be complete without a visit to the rice fields and our photo shows the visitors enjoying an opportunity to see this season´s crop´s progress.
