The number of Covid-19 contagions in the Murcia region has nearly doubled in the last week with the incidence per 100,000 head of population reaching 124.85.
Two weeks ago the total number of active cases was less than 600, in the last 24 hours this number has more than doubled to 1,439.
Sadly, an 84 year old woman died of the virus in the last 24 hours.
Despite the sharp rise in cases the number of patients admitted to hospital with the virus has remained stable throughout this week.
According to the statistics there is still one active case of Covid-19 in Calasparra.
