Four more Airlines, including Ryanair, are transferring their services from San Javier to the new airport in Corvera, raising hopes that the phantom airport will really open in January of next year.
The company which offers the majority of flights to the UK, Ryanair, with more than 20 every week to Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds and Londres -Luton and Stansted in the UK; Dublin and Eindhoven in Holland are offering flights from Corvera from January 15, 2019.
Easyjet will start operating from the new airport in March with flights to Bristol, London Gatwick and Southend already on offer on March 25 and 26.
Jet2 will maintain five flights to Leeds and Manchester weekly from Corvera.
Contacts with other airlines are continuing, such as Iberia and Volotea, and a company flying to Belguim has already confirmed transferring to Corvera.
There is still some confusion over the fate of San Javier as the EU demands its closure and rumours are that it will revert to a military airport.
