Moratalla has registered 104 active cases of coronavirus in all groups of the population over the past seven days and directly after the local fiestas.
Calasparra has 11 cases in all groups and eight in the over 60´s group registered in the last week. Caravaca has 58 in all groups; Cehegin 40; and Bullas six.
Most of the statistics published on Wednesday in the region are slightly down compared to the previous Mondays but, sadly, two people have died.
Statistics below for Coronavirus were published by the regional Health Authority for the 24 hours ending at midnight on Wednesday. Statistics in brackets are for the previous Monday.

As the seventh wave of the virus is coinciding with the fiestas in the region, the regional Health Authority is advising the use of masks in all closed public spaces and in all mass events and crowds, even when they are outside.

Testing is only being carried out on the over 60´s group so the statistics for the number of active cases may be misleading. It is probable that those cases outside the under 60´s group which have been registered are people who have sought medical asssistance due to severe symptoms. There are no statistics which reflect the «real» number of Covid cases so Health Authorities are advising extreme care amongst the vulnerable groups and those young people who socialize with elderly people.
