The fiestas in Moratalla in honour of St Cristo de Rayo and the fiestas in the surrounding villages of San Juan, Cañada de la Cruz, Calar de la Santa and El Sabinar have all been cancelled.
The local Department of Health said the “difficult decision to suspend the fiestas had been taken because the epidemiological situation did not seem to indicate that it would be possible to hold the fiestas despite the fact that the vaccination campaign continues at good rhythm.”
