The construction of two chalets in the area Reolid Alta, near Valentin, has been halted on the orders of the Town Hall following a complaint by a neighbour.
A complaint that two chalets were near completion within an area subject to a ZEPA protection order for the protection of birds was made to the Guardia Civil on March 29
According to reports work on the two buildings, which are licensed as “naves” (agricultural warehouses or barns), began in 2011. The buildings “of large dimensions now appear to be chalets not naves as permitted by the current building licences”, according to a Town Hall spokesperson.
The same neighbor says he lodged a similar complaint with SEPRONA (the Guardia Civil) in July 2010 against similar building works on two chalets in an area subject to a ZEPA.
