A third of our food ends up in the bin and yet there are 800 million people worldwide who are starving. These are the sad facts that divide the rich and the poor world.
Tonight, Thursday, to raise awareness of these issues, the religious charity, Manos Unidos (Hands United), are organizing the annual Famine Dinner in the Daya Salon in Calasparra.
Do not expect a slap up meal as bread and water is usually served for a small price, which goes to alleviate hunger in the world.
The benefit dinner begins at 8pm.
