Barcelona University will present Calasparra Town Hall with a prize for being one of th most transparent local authorities in the Murcia Region.
The ceremony will be on October 21 in the Cultural Centre “Las Claras” in Murcia at midday.
The prize recognises the “advances gained” over the last few months due to the Portal de Transparencia button on the municipal webpage. Calasparra received a total of 52%.
The Head of the Department of Citizen Participation and Transparency, Ricardo Garcia, has expressed his satisfaction that the efforts of the Town Hall have been recognised.
“We have put a lot of work and effort into the matter of transparency although we recognise there is still much to be done,” he said.
He also invited residents to click on the Portal de Tranparencia button on the municipal webpage and make suggestions, recommendations or give the Town Hall their opinion on local issues.
