Calasparra will celebrate the International Day of Museums on May 18 by holding an open doors day and a nocturnal walking route.
The theme of the international movement this year is Museums for a Sustainable Society and it aims to educate residents about the role of museums in the development of our society.
Acitivities will be:-
Open Days at the different local museums from Tuesday May 19 to Thursday May 19 between 10.30am and 1.30pm when the museums will be open to the public and groups.
Educational days for local schools from Tuesday May 19 to Thursday May 21.
The V Nocturnal Route of the Museums on June 7 at 8pm. Start from the Casa Granero in Calle Mayor.
In Calasparra there are three museums spaces: the Rice Museum, the Archeological Museum “La Encomienda”, and El Molinico, the Emilio Pérez Piñero Foundation.
Those interested can simply visit the museums during the opening hours given above. If there are groups or associations who wish to visit they should contact the Tourist Office and state whether they need a guide.
