Among the 80 participants in the III Mountain Bikle Orienteering Trophy trials, in Calasparra on Sunday, a 15 year old Calasparrian won the trophy for first place in the Induction Category.
Sergio Montoya Garcia was taking part for the first time in Mountain Bike Orienteering and beat seven rivals in his category to take first place. Another Calasparrian, Bernado de Mata Molina came second in the same category.
Yolanda Pérez Cussaca, also Calasparrian, took third place in the Senior Women´s category.
Altogether eight local people took part in the trials on a bright, sunny Sunday across the Sierra del Molino and around the Alfonso XIII reservoir.
There were no incidents reported in these trials which carry points for the regional championships.
