If you have never joined the annual pilgrimage to the top of San Miguel here is another chance for you to enjoy a spectacular walk and see the best 180 degree views in Calasparra.
The traditional pilgrimage is next Sunday, September 27, starting out from the Plaza de la Corredera at 9am.
It seems as if most of the town turn out for this walk if it is a fine day so it is an opportunity to meet some of your neighbours and practice your Spanish.
Many people do not meet in the main square but rather just wander up the hill at their own speed. However, this is one of the organised walks on the Municipal Walking Calendar.
There are some steep parts of the route although most of it is fairly gentle.
