Calasparra marked the International Day against Domestic Violence with events in local schools to raise awareness and a ceremony to commemorate all the women killed by partners or ex partners during the year.
The Head of the Equality Department, Mari Carmen López Alba, speaking at the ceremony in the plaza de la Corredera called for education in equality values, respect and tolerance to eradicate domestic violence.
