Gravely ill or injured patients die en route to the Intensive Care Unit in the Arrixaca Hospital, the spokesperon for the political party, Ciudadanos, told the Regional Assembly this week.
Following a debate the regional assemby unanimously approved a move to install an Intensive Care Unit at Caravaca Hospital.
The Caravaca hospital serves 70,000 local residents, a figure inflated to 100 ,000 inhabitants including surrounding areas.
The 2.5 million euros project was “very urgent” according to the President of the regional government, Pedro Sanchez.
