Yesterday we reported that the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Calasparra had increased to 44, with eight still active.
We are advised by the Medical Centre that the increase in the total of confirmed cases reported is due to the rapid testing being carried out on patients who had symptoms, who have symptoms and who have had contact with someone with symptoms. Many of the positive tests have been on patients who have already had the virus.
It is important to note that the general trend of contagion in the Murcia region is falling although the State of Alarm stays in place and requirements to stay at home, go out only when permitted, to maintain social distancing and personal hygiene remain of paramount importance in order to continue this trend.
