The prohibition on burning came into effect on Monday June 1 and lasts through until September 30 as part of the campaign against forest fires.
The Local Police are asking residents to report any smoke to them or to the emergency number 112.
With the summer comes a drastic increase in temperatures and the risk of forest fires in our surrounding natural spaces multiplies.
For this reason from June 1 to September 30 it is strictly forbidden to light any type of fire in woodlands and areas near the countryside.
There is a blanket ban on open barbecues, fires, bonfires to burn prunings and garden waste, smoking in the countryside and fireworks.
If you see smoke don’t hestiate.
