The Town Hall has signed an agreement with the company, Personalia, part of the ONCE group, to provide the “teleasistencia” home emergency service for the minimum cost of 11.95 euros monthly.
According to Antonio Moreno, in charge of Social Services at the Town Hall, this means that the elderly and housebound in Calasparra can benefit from this 24 hour home telephone assistence helpline at “the lowest price in the region without compromising quality.”
This week new users will have their terminals installed and new clients interested in the helpline can apply through the Social Services Department at the Town Hall or through Personalia, the company which currently manages the OAPs Residence here in Calasparra.
Teleasistencia provides security to the elderly and housebound residents of the town by offering 24 hour helpline operaters to assist in any emergency or simply to give advice and comfort.
