The national Met Office has issued a yellow alert in the Murcia Region of temperatures of more than 38 degrees centigrade today, Tuesday:
The alert is in force between 12 midday and 7pm tonight.
The Murcian Health Service has issued a Level 1 warning for high temperatures during the next couple of days in accordance with the Prevention Action Plan against the effects of very high temperatures on personal health.
By Thursday temperatures in the region are expected to drop by as much as 7 degrees.
