Temperatures are due to rise again today, Thursday, according to the Met Office which has issued a Yellow Weather Alert for the region.
Last week, during the hottest August in living memory, the mercury in Murcia rose to a record breaking 47 degrees centigrade due to hot winds from the Sahara. Today maximum daytime temperatures are likely to be “significantly high” according to predictions.
Readers are advised to take the usual precautions, stay cool, drink plenty of water and avoid exercise and exposure to the sun.
