Calasparrians brought flowers for the Patron Saints Senén and Abdón in thanks for the harvest on Sunday in the first event of the traditional annual fiestas.
Also taking part in this traditional homage were the Town Hall, the Sanctuary Foundation and the religious brotherhoods of Easter Week.
The morning began with the “huertano” procession, followed by a mass at the Saints Church with the Rondalla Music Group:
The new Kings and Queens of the Rice Fields 2013 were duly elected. They are Adrián Ruiz de Magdalena and Mónica Rubio Ibáñez, adults, and Mario Vergara Ruiz and Lara Jiménez López, juniors
