Eight people were detained after a joint operation of the Guardia Civil and the local police dismantled a «cocaine factory» in a country house on the perimeter of Calasparra.
The suspects were arrested, for allegedly buying, manipulating and selling cocaine in a property, with intense security measures including fencing and potentially dangerous dogs. The door was armoured, a sophisticated alarm system had been installed and various arms were found inside the dwelling.
Officers discovered 140 grammes of cocaine, precision scales, utensils for the manipulation and distribution of cocaine and various stolen items,
The operation, carried out on September 1, was the result of months of investigation after officers found a sales point for drugs in Calasparra.
The eight suspects have appeared before magistrates.
