GOVERNMENT LOAN WILL ENABLE TOWN HALL TO PAY DEBTS

In common with most of the Town Halls nationally Calasparra will take advantage of the central government credit plan designed to enable the local administrations to pay off debts to local suppliers and service providers.
Calasparra Town Hall has presented a total of 2,781 outstanding bills totaling 3,568,907 euros which include debts dating back to December 2011.
Any service provider or supplier can access the list of bills submitted at the Department of Intervention at the Town Hall.
The central government Payment Plan for Suppliers and Service Providers will facilitate settling the 2.781 outstanding bills through a line of credit over several years and at a 5% interest rate. The Plan, which ends on April 22, aims to reduce the debts of local administrations.
A local Plan of Adjustment has also been approved by the two main parties and will include rises in local taxes. The full details of the plan will be announced next week.
