Fans,
including the Mayor, Jose Velez and his councilors, turned out on mass to
support the first female football team in the history of Calasparra on Saturday
in the Caverina.
Making their debut the team lost to SMX Athletic Club of Murcia, but where they
lacked goals they made up for it in enthusiasm:
The Mayor marked this historic occasion by reminding the players to ignore
anyone who told them they couldn´t do the same things as men just because they
were women.
