The Mayor of Calasparra, José Vélez, and the President of the Murcian Federation of Orienteering, Francisco Guerao, have officially presented the full programme for the 27th Costa Calida Orienteering Trophy trials which will be held in Calasparra on March 6, 7, and 8.
Over a thousand participants are expected from all over Spain and Europe including entries from Belguim, Denmark, Italy and the United Kingdom.
“This event will have a big economic impact on the town and will serve to publicise our tourist attractions and our hospitality, “ said the Mayor.
The first day of the trials is a training day followed by two days with two races: one middle distance, one long distance with a sprint trial.
Saturday will be the best viewing day for the public as the trials take in the town centre and the trophies will be presented in the Plaza de la Corredera.

7pm Presentation of trophies in the Plaza de la Corredera
SUNDAY MARCH 8
9am Middle Distance Trials
1pm Presentation of trophies in the Plaza de la Corredera.
