The incredible voice of Curro Piñana, accompanied by Francisco Tornero on Spanish guitar, and the Association Band of Music of Calasparra heralded the coming of Easter week with an extraordinary concert in Cine Rosales at Sunday lunchtime.
If you missed it you missed a rare treat: traditional Spanish Easter music and marches interspersed with classics suih as the March from Puccini´s Tosca.
Curro Piñana, from the famous Flamenco family, thrilled the audience with his pure clear tones as he sang the “Saetas” and his ability to draw out the notes with mínimum respiration. He was truly amazing and at the end of the concert the musicians received received a very well deserved standing ovation.
