The Town Hall has just published the details of the Carnival Programme for 2016, which we have translated to ensure our readers have plenty of time to prepare their fancy dress and compete for cash prizes (see below).

Grand Carnival Fancy Dress Competition Prizes and Conditions of Entry
Participants must sign on in the Plaza de la Corredera at 9.30pm and it is obligatory to take part in the procession at 11pm in order to qualify for a prize. Judging will take place during the procession.
Prizes:
Large groups: 1st: 125€ and a trophy; 2nd: 100€ and a trophy; 3rd: 75€ and a trophy.
Small groups (1-3): 1st: 75€ and a trophy.
