The former Mayor of Calasparra and now regional deputy, Jose Velez, accompanied the President of the Superior Sports Committee, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, on an official visit to Calasparra to see at first hand the work carried out promoting and organising sports activities.
They visited the Municipal Canoe Club where they were accompanied by the Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, Cesar Reales, President of the Murcian Canoeing Federación and Adrián Ruiz de Magdalena, responsible for the Canoe School.

They also met the Organizing Team of the Calasparra Cup, a tournament at national level, and the Athletics Ground where the local Government Team asked for funds to finish the changing rooms at the centre.
