Local artist, Pedro José Sánchez, recently exhibiting his collection «Paraísos cercanos» in the Exhibition Space in Calle Mayor, has donated a painting paying homage to local volunteers of the association, Calasparra Se Mueve, who raise funds for cancer research.
The painting features the Marcha Rosa, (Pink March) an event held annually by Calasparra Se Mueve to raise awareness and to raise funds for cancer research.
The donation ceremony marked the end of the artist´s exhibition in Calasparra and was attended by the Mayoress of Calasparra, Tersa Garcia, and Antonio Merino, of the Department of Culture.
