Statistics released today reveal there are 24 cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Calasparra and of these five were diagnosed in the last 24 hours.
The statistics for nearby municipal areas demonstrate why the regional government has confined residents to their own municipal areas: Caravaca 280 confirmed cases (31 in the last 24 hours); Bullas 118 confirmed cases (10 in the last 24 hours); Moratalla 138 confirmed cases (8 in the last 24 hours); and Cehegin 132 (27 in the last 24 hours).
Also from Saturday all bars and restaurants in the 45 municipal areas in the region will be closed to the public. They may provide a take away service.
Residents have been asked by the regional health authority to stay at home and only leave the house for work, education or to purchase basic necessities.
