Fire fighters put out a fire on the left bank of the Argos river near the reservoir at Valentin on Sunday.
The alarm was raised at 4.40pm and fire fighters from Caravaca joined the Rapid Response team of Plan Infomur and the Fire Brigade from Calasparra to fight the blaze.
Despite strong winds the fire was quickly extinguished and the area damped down to prevent further fires.
