This Sunday, yesterday, there was a 53% drop in cases of Covid-19 compared to the previous Sunday, that is 555 less cases.
However, there are more than 100 more inpatients with the virus than the previous Sunday, ages ranging from 13 to 97 years.
There are 81 Covid patients in intensive care, the same number as last week, with ages ranging from 19 to 85 years.
Some 73% of patients in intensive care were not vaccinated against the virus.
Sadly, five more people have died of the virus, three men and two women (no ages available).
The age group most affected by Covid-19 in the region is for children aged between three and 12 years. The least affected age range is the over 65’s.
